EPs have always been popular, but this year especially it seems that artists turned to the shorter form project style to get a handful of songs out to their fans when they couldn’t get a full length album out. Other artists just prefer to release an EP to get music out quicker and more conveniently. It has been interesting to see that genres all across the board have embraced EPs from rap to country to pop to R&B.
