There’s Someone Inside Your House is now streaming on Netflix, and it has some pretty impressive names involved, including some who previously worked on Stranger Things and The Conjuring.
Makani Young has moved from Hawaii to Nebraska to live with her grandma and finish up high school, but as graduation approaches, her classmates are stalked by a killer with plans to expose their darkest secrets to the entire town. Oh yeah, and the killer terrorizes victims while wearing a life-like mask of their own face. With a mysterious past of her own, Makani and her friends must discover the killer’s identity before they become victims themselves.
This horror flick tackles cancel culture and white privilege while touching on the dangers of social media and high school drama. At times, it feels like it’s leaning a little into a ~woke~ teen thriller category, and it doesn’t work as well as other times. But all in all, it’s a gory story that refuses to let you go once it starts.
