Love Life returns for a second season on HBO Max revolving around William Jackson Harper’s character. Similar to the first season with Anna Kendrick, season two with William Jackson Harper features our main character Marcus navigating his own Love Life with different women he meets and re-encounters along the way.
In addition to William Jackson Harper, the show also stars Jessica Williams, Punkie Johnson and Chris “Comedian CP” Powell. Recurring guest stars include Arian Moayed, Leslie Bibb, and John Earl Jelks. Guest stars this season are Maya Kazan, Ego Nwodim, Kimberly Elise, Blair Underwood, Janet Hubert, Jordan Rock, and Steven Boyer. Keith David narrates. Familiar faces from season one — Anna Kendrick, Zoë Chao, Peter Vack, Sasha Compére, and Nick Thune — also show back up and appear in season two.
This soundtrack for this show is unique in that the stylistic choices switch up with each episode. It becomes especially interesting when you can start to match up different genres and time periods of music with the different women Marcus is spending time with in the show.
