“Heartstopper” is officially streaming on Netflix worldwide, and I suspect this will be a big hit for many different audiences. The way it captures a Gen Z’s Spotify playlist without sounding like a collection of viral TikTok hits was done so tastefully, and the songs were perfectly aligned with the tone of each scene.
I didn’t think this show could get any more existential, but it managed to out-do last season somehow.
With the modern-day struggles our “Bel-Air” characters face also comes a modern-day soundtrack with artists from Philly to Cali.
It’s a fascinating story, and the series features a surprisingly rap-heavy soundtrack that sounds like it wouldn’t work, but every song fits so well within the context of the show!
