Review + Super Soundtrack: “The Chair” on Netflix

Workplace, dramedy, and satire might seem like quite the hodge podge of words to describe one show, but they’re all accurate characteristics of “The Chair.”

Super Soundtrack: “Heels” on STARZ

Fans and critics are already comparing the show to Friday Night Lights, so that’s some pretty high praise. Similar to that show, the soundtrack plays a role itself in the series. Jeff Cardoni composed the score for the series, which does an absolutely incredible job at building up the intensity of the scenes and adding even more hype. Jonathan Leahy is the music supervisor for the show, responsible for curating the songs for the series’ soundtrack.

Super Soundtrack: ‘Beckett’ on Netflix (dir. Ferdinando Cito Filomarino)

Beckett debuted on Netflix today following its world premiere at the Locarno International Film Festival earlier this month. Starring John David Washington, Alicia Vikander, Vicky Krieps, Yorgos Pirpassopoulus, and Boyd Holbrook, the cast for this action-thriller is pretty great. After a car accident in Greece, Beckett (John David Washington), an American tourist, gets caught up in the middle of a political conspiracy that forces him to go on the run for his life.

Super Soundtrack + Review: “Modern Love” on Amazon Prime Video (Season 2)

Season 2 of “Modern Love” has premiered on Amazon Prime Video today, and it maintains that sense of charm we came to love with the first season. Pulling stories from essays in the New York Times column, there’s something about a thirty-minute slice-of-real-life that makes this stand out from the sea of streaming options. Showcasing love in all of its different forms is what has set this apart, and I’m happy to say that thread is consistent with this second season.

Review + Super Soundtrack: ‘Old’ (dir. M. Night Shyamalan)

We all saw the commercial that premiered during the Super Bowl earlier this year (even though that already feels like years ago). With a phenomenal cast along with an instantly interesting premise, people (myself included) were excited to see what M. Night Shyamalan had up his sleeve for us this time.
