True Story, the new limited series starring Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes is now streaming on Netflix. Kevin Hart plays a character that doesn’t feel especially far off from his own life, at least in the beginning. But when his character runs into some unexpected drama during a tour stop in his hometown of Philadelphia, things start to veer off course pretty quickly. Bring in Wesley Snipes as his brother, and nothing is going to go as planned.
I promise you’ve never seen Kevin Hart in a role like this, and his chemistry with Wesley Snipes makes the two characters work together so well (even when they don’t work together so well). Coming in at just seven episodes for a grand total of around four hours, I figure most of you will binge these episodes as if this were one mega-movie. It definitely has a suspenseful enough story and talented crew of actors to earn my recommendation.
It’s always exciting when a particularly great show has an equally exciting soundtrack, so let’s break down the music featured in this new series…
