Interview: Bren Joy Talks About Upcoming Tour Opening for Pink Sweat$ + Leaning into “What Feels Right” on New Music

Bren Joy has such a unique voice, and his artistry has no bounds. Genre is no limitation for him as he combines R&B, pop, and everything in between. It only makes sense, really, that he would be so good at making music when you consider that he grew up in Nashville. There is no denying his stylistic and vocal range. Super Soundtrack: “BMF” on STARZ

With a show set in Detroit, an influential city in rap history, as well as a few musically-involved actor-rappers, the soundtrack of “BMF” reflects that in its variety of music. Let’s dive into the soundtrack…

Super Soundtrack: “Midnight Mass” on Netflix

It grapples with the idea of humanity and brings up conversations on religion, faith, society, and small town culture in such profound ways. Some of the best monologues I’ve ever seen are in this series. It’s thrilling, and it’s horror, but it takes a methodical, psychological approach that is unlike anything I’ve seen in a long time.

Super Soundtrack: ‘There’s Someone Inside Your House’ on Netflix

This horror flick tackles cancel culture and white privilege while touching on the dangers of social media and high school drama. At times, it feels like it’s leaning a little into a ~woke~ teen thriller category, and it doesn’t work as well as other times. But all in all, it’s a gory story that refuses to let you go once it starts.

You know Kenny G for his one-in-a-trillion musical talent, but do you really know the artist playing the saxophone and the man behind those records? His 40-year career should have given us enough time to learn about him, but apparently not.

Super Soundtrack: “Sex Education” on Netflix [Season 3]

It’s finally back! Season 3 of Sex Education has officially premiered on Netflix. It may have only been a year-and-a-half, but it feels like we’ve been waiting so much longer. This bunch of British teenagers represent the most diverse, relatable, and accurately awkward group of kids on TV right now.
